‘Teletextart’ @Museum of Teletext Art MUTA

“Teletextart” was originally shown at International Teletext Art Festival 2013. Shortly after, it was selected for the Museum of Teletext Art (MUTA), “the world’s first … teletext art museum”.

The Museum of Teletext Art began as a collaboration between public broadcasting company Yleisradio and Helsinki-based artists co-operative FixC. Announced alongside that year’s edition of the International Teletext Art Festival, its purpose was (and remains) to broadcast, document, archive and make teletext art available for studies and research.

In September 2014, ‘Teletextart’ was chosen as the second piece of teletext art to be exhibited at the Museum of Teletext Art on YLE Text in Finland.

In November 2016, ‘Teletextart’ was selected as the twelfth artwork to be exhibited at ARD Text’s screening of the Museum of Teletext Art in Germany.

In November 2021, ‘Teletextart’ was re-broadcast on Yle Teksti-TV as part of MUTA7, an exhibition of artworks from the Museum of Teletext Art collection.
