Ceci N’est Pas Un Spectacle: Knitted Art

Pixel artwork for an animation created with a knitting machine by Sam Meech & Marilane Goudet (2015).

These monochrome representations of photographs taken in downtown Montreal, Canada, were designed to fit on either one or two punchcards each.

The film was originally projected onto the facade of the Centre de Design, Montreal, as part of ESPACE COMMUN.
